How to Refer/Book

Referring your child to Hopscotch is straightforward. You do not need a GP letter, a diagnosis, or a formal referral from another professional. If you are concerned about your child’s development, or if you have been advised by a school, nursery, or clinician that your child might benefit from Occupational Therapy or Speech & Language Therapy, you can contact us directly.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER REFERRING

  • We aim to respond to all new enquiries within 2-4 working days

  • Assessment appointments are typically available within 4-6 weeks of referral

  • We will keep you informed throughout the process

Parents & Carers

  • Step 1: Contact us by phone (020 7486 8168), email (info@hopscotchtherapy.co.uk), or via the online contact form

  • Step 2: Our team will be in touch within 2-4 working days to discuss your child’s needs and answer any questions about the process

  • Step 3: We will agree the most appropriate assessment and confirm an appointment date

  • Step 4: Your child attends for assessment at 11 Gower Street (unless arranged otherwise) - we will send you everything you need to prepare in advance

  • Step 5: You receive a written report with findings and recommendations, typically within a couple of weeks after the assessment.

Professionals

We accept referrals from schools, GPs, paediatricians, local authorities, legal firms, and adoption agencies. Please contact us by phone (020 7486 8168), email (info@hopscotchtherapy.co.uk), or via the online contact form and provide us with a brief summary of the child’s needs and the reason for referral. We will confirm availability and next steps within 2-4 working days. Parental consent is required before we can proceed with any referral from a third party.

Local Authorities

LA commissioning enquiries should be directed to our Operations Director, via the online contact form. We can provide a schedule of fees, a service specification, and proof of all required registrations and insurance on request.
