Interview with the parents

Parents have the opportunity to discuss with the senior therapist matters of concern and bring anything that needs to be brought to the therapist’s attention.

Assessment with the child

Depending on each case, in a standardised manner, it includes an assessment of:

  • Neurodevelopment

  • Sensory processing and modulation

  • Gross and fine motor skills

  • Writing skills

  • Motor planning and organisation

  • Play skills

  • Visual perception

Verbal Feedback

At the end of the assessment, the senior therapist informs the parents of his observations and recommended plan of therapy

A report is produced within 4 weeks from date of assessment.

After approximately 4 therapy sessions, parents are recommended to attend a therapist – parent workshop/consultation.

Parents receive written feedback on a termly basis. Verbal feedback is also provided during an allocated session at the parent’s discretion

After a period of 6 months and onwards, parents are recommended to schedule a review assessment.

Testimonials

Happy Kids

"When our son started at Hopscotch, aged 3, he was having great difficulty in doing the same things that his peers and it impacted on his enjoyment of all aspects of life. The therapists immediately established a rapport with him and through their playful intervention the visits became one of the highlights of his week.

After almost two years of regular therapy the transformation has been terrific. As his physical ability has shot forward, he has far greater confidence, enjoys sport and a variety of activities, and is now looking forward to his entry into primary school. It has been an invaluable foundation for his childhood; the best thing we could have done."
